Adrian's mission for his clinic is to improve the lives of all those he helps.

His own physio journey started with a chronic hip injury he got from dancing when he was younger. He was told by doctors "you'll never be able to do it again" and to give it up.

Not agreeing with this at all, he started to do his own research which led him to discover first-hand how the human body works. Combined with his natural inclination to help people, he became a physio - and went far beyond too, to separate himself from others with the same university degree.

On his own physio journey, he adopted a no fluff approach with a focus on effective principles of treatment, rather than following everchanging (and often unhealthy) fads of the profession.

He believes everything should be done in a patient's best interests. Every decision and treatment to actually get them better and achieve their goals.

Over his physio career, Adrian has worked with 1000's of people aged mostly 40–75 to solve a lot of back, hip, neck, shoulder or knee pain. He's come across a lot of people with troublesome pain and issues popping up, seemingly out of nowhere.

Having suffered long term injuries himself, he understood many people just wanted to keep being active in life and do all the things they needed before pain started constantly getting in the way.

But Adrian saw how people weren't always getting what they wanted, from some of the professional help they had gotten elsewhere. They weren't even being given the right advice, and so to them, healing didn't seem possible.

And so, Adrian committed himself to learning the best ways to truly help his patients.

Eventually, through much experience and reflection, he did find and also develop himself the best ways to give people the results they so wanted. To not only overcome their pain, but to get to the root of the problem itself, so they could really keep active and mobile well into their years -  without needing things like painkillers, injections or surgery.

More of Adrian's patients received big quality of life improvements. They could exercise, work and enjoy life without pain. His approach was to help them to go further, to become even more healthy and active than before.

Not satisfied with how most big clinics he had worked at were being run - most having an excessive focus on profit rather than people (understandably), he started his own practice using a system made up of the best of what he'd learned. It is here to give people suffering from pain, the high quality care that they want and deserve.

Adrian's areas of specialities are pain conditions of the shoulder, neck and back. His physio treatments follow his 4 step system, which frequently produces amazing results for clients.

1. Assessment to find all sources of problem and create a plan

2. Restore: Targeted treatment based on the assessment to quickly improve pain and mobility

3. Optimise: Fix root causes of pain, movement and control to further reduce pain long term

4. Enhance: Make the body resilient with right exercises so pain doesn't come back with activities

He has done various courses and professional development and chooses to only use treatments and methods that work best. Some of these include:

  • Dry needling

  • Performance exercise therapy

  • Myofascial release

  • Aligning joints and muscles with manual therapy

  • Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation

New unique approach to treatment:

Adrian found a lot of problems with many physios were that different treatments and exercises given to patients didn't complement each other. Adrian's expertise is in making all treatments and exercise work together with a clear outcome to maximise their effectiveness. He also has a keen eye to see if exercises are done correctly, and which exercises or treatments are suitable for patients.

What can commonly happen when physio is done wrong is people are told to do exercises they aren't ready for, and it ends up making their pain worse. People can also receive standard treatments like manipulations and heavy handed massage that don't do many conditions any good.

Unfortunately, the therapist and patient are often both unaware what's really happening and so the problem persists.

Adrian found that most patients have two or three things that when treated in the right way, can already get their pain 80% better. Adrian has developed a high level of skill in finding these areas and limitations, as they must be assessed on a case by case basis.
